【摘要】:Theseresultsmaybeusedtocomparethesusceptibilityofmaterialswhenexposedtothistestprocedure.Microbiologicalsusceptibilitymaybereflectedbyanumberofchangesincludingstaining,weightloss,orreductionintensileorflexuralstrength.Thispracticemaybeconsideredaninoculationwithamixedcultureoffungiandbacteria.1.1Thispracticeislimitedtothemethodofconductinganevaluationofanonmetallicmaterial''smicrobiologicalsusceptibilitywhenincontactwiththenaturalenvironmentofthesoil.Thispracticeisintendedforuseonsolidmaterialtestspecimensthatarenolargerthanapproximately2cm(x00BE;in.)thickand100cm2(20in.2)oronfilmformingmaterialssuchascoatingswhichmaybetestedintheformoffilmsatleast50by50mm(2by2in.)insize.Thispracticemaybeappliedtoarticlesthatdonotspendthemajorityoftheirservicelifeinsoil.1.2Awidevarietyofpropertiesmaybeaffectedbymicrobialattackdependingonmaterialoritemcharacteristics.Standardmethods(whereavailable)shouldbeusedforeachdifferentpropertytobeevaluated.Thispracticedoesnotattempttoenumerateallofthepossiblepropertiesofinterestnorspecifythemostappropriatetestforthoseproperties.Testmethodsmust,however,beappropriatetothematerialbeingtested.1.3Itisrecommendedthatthispracticebecombinedwithappropriateenvironmentalexposures(forexample,sunlightsimulatingweatheringdevices,thehydrolyticeffectsofextendedaqueouscontact,orextraneousnutrients)orfabricationintoarticles(forexample,adhesivebondingofseams)whichmaypromotemicrobiologicalsusceptibilityduringtheservicelifeofthematerial.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
