【摘要】:Althoughthispracticeisintendedforthecollectionofsoilsamplesfromareasinandaroundbuildings,thispracticemayalsobeusedtocollectsoilsamplesfromotherareasandenvironments.Thispracticelimitssoilcollectiontoapproximatelythetop1.5cmofsoilsurface.ThesesamplesarecollectedinamannerthatwillpermitsubsequentdigestionanddeterminationofleadusinglaboratoryanalysistechniquessuchasInductivelyCoupledPlasmaAtomicEmissionSpectrometry(ICP-AES)andFlameAtomicAbsorptionSpectrometry(FAAS)(seeTestMethodE1613).1.1Thispracticecoversthecollectionofsoilsamplesfromareasinandaroundbuildingsandrelatedstructuresusingcoringandscoopingmethods.1.2Thispracticeisnotsuitableforcollectionofsoilsamplesfromareasthatarepaved.1.3Thispracticedoesnotaddressthesamplingdesigncriteria(thatis,samplingplanthatincludesthenumberandlocationofsamples)thatareusedforriskassessmentandotherleadhazardactivities.1.4Thispracticecontainsnotesthatareexplanatoryandarenotpartofthemandatoryrequirementsofthispractice.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
